The nose balances sharp, metallic aromas of graphite and lead with a cherry sweetness, while pepper crackles above it all. The cherries star on the palate, but a bitter orange note underscores a lingering metallic tang, before rustic tannins clear out the mouth while acid sings in the background.

The 2021 Rosso Dogajolo is a soft, juicy wine to drink young, while the flavors remain vibrant. Dark cherry, plum, spice, tobacco and dried herbs are nicely pushed forward.
