Our 2021 Wente Vineyards Southern Hills Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic example of approachable California Cabernet. Clean and concise fruit leads every step of the way showcasing fresh blackberry, cassis and black cherry which is supported by a delightful layering of oak inspired flavors including chocolate and a touch of fresh baked gingerbread. The wine is balanced, well-polished with integrated oak and underlying structure that makes it clear this fan favorite will drink beautifully for the next three to five years. This wine will pair nicely with grilled New York steaks, winter stews, grilled hamburgers and baked beans, as well as array of pasta dishes, especially lasagna.
