Estancia Pinot Noir 2017
|Region||California, Central Coast, Monterey|
Deep magenta in appearance. Complex floral notes of violet and spice, intertwined with fruit aromas of cherry and plum. Concentrated flavors of leather, cigar box, and sweet pipe tobacco, accented with lively notes of cherry, baking spices, and violets with supple tannins and a lingering toasty finish. Pairs well with smoked salmon, asparagus, pork, poultry, steak.
Shy aromas of red cherry and wet slate show on the nose of this widely available bottling. Its palate is down the middle for an affordable Pinot Noir, with cooked cranberry, a hint of pepper and the slightest touch of star anise.
