A tradition of grape growing at this estate goes back to the 14th century. This 2019 vintage is now gently textured and full of ripe, smoky fruits. With a balanced character, fruit and acidity bring freshness at the end. Drink the wine now.

The 2019 Blaignan is a savory, expressive red from a late-ripening site at the very north of Médoc. Dried herbs, flowers, black cherry, leather and pipe tobacco lend quite a bit of nuance. This is very nicely done.

Lots of cedar, spice, sappy herbs, and red and black fruits emerge from the medium-bodied 2019 Château Blaignan, which has a fresh, focused texture, light yet present tannins, and a good finish. It's a solid, enjoyable red to drink over the coming 4-6 years.
