In many years, the Napa Valley bottling has been a miniature of the Howell Mountain, but in 2014 it is more typical of true appellation-level Cabernet meant for near to medium-term drinking.

Intense, rustic and chewy, with tannins that are gritty and bitter, revealing accents of coffee grounds. Needs a wide berth and patience. Drink now through 2030.
