First of all, I should just like to introduce myself: my name is Michele Chiarlo and I come from a family that has dedicated itself to vine-growing for at least five generations. In 1956, with a diploma in oenology in my pocket and a great love for wine, I started up my own business, beginning with a small winery in Calamandrana, on the border between Monferrato and the Langhe. Since then I have had only one goal: quality.
Little by little my business has grown, stretching out towards the other two areas which have made Piedmontese wines famous all over the world: Barolo, where we have created a cellar for the vinification and the aging, in the middle of our more prestigious vineyards, and Rovereto, which is, historically speaking, the most suited hillside in the Gavi area, among whose vineyards we have built a winery. Fortunately, I have managed to instill this desire for quality into my children and my closest collaborators, thus forming a close-knit, impassioned team.
Come with me, and discover a fascinating universe: Piedmont and its wines.
